Phil Radcliff

Phil Radcliff is an experienced global consultant, facilitator and coach, focussing on organizational development and change management in the private and voluntary sectors.

Phil gained an MSC in Management Studies and spent five years teaching Organization Development at Sheffield Hallam University. He first moved into industry with the Engineering Industry Training Board followed by Rank Hovis McDougall, working initially in management development followed by five years in the USA as VP of HR and Business Planning.

Joining Guinness on his return to Europe in 1990, he was part of the team that established their global management development processes and led the work to develop a global culture as part of the integration of over thirty acquisitions in the spirits division. In 1997, the Guinness Group announced the merger of its businesses to form Diageo, the world's leading premium alcoholic drinks business. During this phase, Phil was responsible for all the organization, development and design elements of the merger. Phil eventually became HR Director of the merged spirits and wine business (UDV) in 1999, and was subsequently responsible for managing the integration of the company's beer, wine and spirits businesses and as Diageo's Strategic Change Director was a key member of the team involved in the planning of the acquisition and integration of the Seagram company (2001-02) with Pernod Rickard.

Phil has also been a visiting lecturer at London, Sheffield and Georgetown Universities and an External Examiner to the Postgraduate diploma in Human Resource Management at Sheffield Hallam University. His work has been referenced/published in numerous publications, including Advances in Management Education, Management and Self Development, The Communicating Organisation, Successful Mergers, and The Manager's Guide to Leadership.

Phil's clients include Cadbury Schweppes, Aviva, BBC Scotland, Diageo, GSK, BT Global Services, and Skillset.
